Updated Web Marketing Association Internet Standards Assessment Report Includes Historical Data Derived from a Decade of Hosting Premier Internet Award Competition, WebAwards, Provides Best Practices for Event Web Design

The American Design Awards competition aims to reward those who have made graphic or web design their careers and uphold such ethical guidelines on a day to day basis. Other considerations for an award are creativity and talent, marketability and effectiveness, as well as practicality and general design abilities.
The “20 in 09” exhibition will showcase a variety of works including photography, illustration, painting, Web design, graphic and package design, and drawing. The students are responsible for designing and executing the exhibit, exhibition announcements and an accompanying catalogue. Press materials will be available at the exhibition and students will have an opportunity to meet with potential clients and employers during the show in an effort to promote their design skills and acquire jobs in the field.

AutoInc took a new approach as the judges had no auto experience, but with their expertise in web design, journalism, and publishing they scored the sites from the viewpoint of a potential new customer. The sites were judged on; design, navigation, usability, information, innovation, and interactivity.
MCWT challenged contestants to design a web site to address the common question of, “How can I plan for and reach my dream career?”
This is a review for Fast Eddie’s Diner in Hampton. The diner has the classic ’50s look but I wasn’t sure how that would translate to cyberspace. The site design is good. It has some elements of design taken from the 1950s but it also has a Jetsons’ space look, which has a ’60s feel to it.
