Choose the right person for the job

I provide web development services in languages such as PHP, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. These are basic tools needed for developing and maintaining a website. When looking for a developer for your project, you want someone who knows what they are doing. You want a website that was put together by that person, not a website built on pieces that person found and threw together. This may work on the initial project scope, but good practice is to make sure your project is easily customizable. The benefits of this are pretty obvious and quite rewarding. Rarely will a project be put together and used and never been touched again. At some time you will want to update or modify your website or script and you want to be sure that you can do this easily. Creating custom, clean code from the beginning ends up saving you a lot of time changing it later especially on more complex projects.

I follow strict coding standards and do all custom code for maximum compatibility, not to mention, you get more for your money when the code is clean and customizable. If for whatever reason this code is modified by someone other then the original writer, if it is clean code the new person can use it, often times on updating websites created years ago you will find old methods of code that are not nearly as efficient as the methods today. So its either continue with the old (not recommended) way, or update the code to modern coding standards.
